Hydrafacial treatments have been touted as the newest alternative to microdermabrasion and is featured on Fox TV, ABC News, CBS News, Allure Magazine, and InStyle Weddings.  Ideal for a 'quick fix' before a big event or as part of a regimented protocol for acne, problem skin, fine wrinkles, or melasma.

The benefits of Hydrafacial treatment over microdermabrasion and light chemical peels is immense, and derives from the patented Vortex infusion technology that bathes the skin with fortifying enzymes and skin rejuvenating acids to break up and remove impurities on the skin surface and pores.  Simultaneously, an exfoliant is used with a Vortex vacuum device to cleanse pores and revitalize the skin surface with wrinkle reducing acids and active ingredients.

As an added Hydrafacial booster, the treatment with ANTIOX-6 provides antioxidant protection and deep skin hydration on all skin types.  Treatment with the ANTIOX-6 booster can further protect your skin from sun exposure and premature oxidative aging.
  2. BETA-HD Booster: Acne prone skin and oily skin can be combatted with this potent Salicylic Acid solution that softens sebum and dislodges skin debris.  Treatment with BETA-HD is usually incorporated into the Kare Hydrafacial Treatment and helps painlessly extract open comedones and blackheads that damage the skin's ability to hydrate itself.

  1. What is a Hydrafacial? Hydrafacial is a new treatment offered at Kare Plastic Surgery & Skin Health Clinic.  The skin treatment infuses the surface of the skin with enzymes and topical acids to break away surface impurities and exfoliate the skin.  Simultaneously, a gentle exfoliation is performed with a Hydrafacial tip and vacuum to simulate a microdermabrasion session.  Hydrafacial is particularly useful for fine wrinkles, acne, sensitive skin, and melasma treatment.  Extraction of clogged pores is performed safely and with soothing moisturization of the skin.  Unlike traditional microdermabrasion, Hydrafacials do not irritate or dry out the skin.
  2. Am I a candidate for a Hydrafacial? Hydrafacials performed in our Beverly Hills or Santa Monica clinics are designed for sensitive skin and can be tolerated by most skin types.  If you have oily, sensitive, or reactive skin, you are also a candidate for a Hydrafacial.  Most treatments are performed for normal skin types on patients who request facial rejuvenation.
  3. How long does a Hydrafacial treatment take to perform? Most Hydrafacial sessions take about 30 minutes to 45 minutes to perform and are well tolerated before major events or parties.  There is very little downtime after a Hydrafacial.
  4. How do I schedule a Hydrafacial at Kare Plastic Surgery? Our office is equipped with the latest Hydrafacial equipment and offers Hydrafacial sessions daily.  Schedule a consultation or treatment by calling our office at (310) 998-5533. Treatments performed in Santa Monica office only.
  5. What does the Hydrafacial procedure do? The Hydrafacial is an advanced skin treatment that uses a three step program to resurface and revitalize the skin.  The HydroPeel tip first applies enzymes and acids to dislodge blackheads and clogged pores from the skin, followed by a skin exfoliation with an abrasion tip similar to microdermabrasion.  The final step is the infusion of skin specific serums to revitalize the skin.
