When can I fly after liposuction? Los Angeles plastic surgeon for body sculpting

When can I fly after liposuction surgery?

The typical recovery from liposuction depends on the severity of the initial problem and the amount of weight removed with liposuction.  Some areas of the body can recover quickly whereas others may take more time.  The abdomen and flanks may often have residual swelling that may last for four to six weeks after the surgery.  Depending on your overall health and your post recovery pain threshold, Dr. Karamanoukian will recommend that you can resume normal activities, including flying and traveling, within one week of your surgery.

The primary goal for Dr. Karamanoukian and his expert team of plastic surgery staff at Kare Plastic Surgery is to maintain the highest levels of safety in plastic surgery and liposuction.

If you are considering liposuction or revision liposuction for your body, Dr. Karamanoukian can provide you with specific details regarding your surgical options as well as your post liposuction recovery timeframe.  Most patients can expect to resume normal activities within one week of their surgery.  However there is a longer period of mild swelling that usually subsides with time and careful massage.  If you are interested in liposuction and live in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Karamanoukian can provide you with specific options for consultation as well as surgery.  The patients who do not wish to undergo liposuction surgery can also opt for the Liposonix nonsurgical fat reduction treatment that uses high intensity focused ultrasound to remove excess fat from the abdomen and flanks.  His innovative technology is sought by patients who can not tolerate a long period of recovery.  Call 310-998-5533.
