What anesthesia is used for rhinoplasty? Los Angeles Rhinoplasty Surgeon

What anesthesia is used for rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty surgery is the medical term used for a nose surgery or nose job.  There are different types of sedation and anesthesia used for a rhinoplasty procedure, but most commonly general anesthesia is used to put a patient to sleep during a rhinoplasty procedure.  A rhinoplasty addresses three major issues concerning the nose, mainly the breathing and airway function, the cartilaginous support of the nasal tip and nostrils, and the underlying nasal bone.  By addressing these factors, the end result of a rhinoplasty is to improve nasal breathing and to strengthen and support the tip after cosmetic improvement has been made to the nose.  The nasal proportions are improved including the nasal tip, the bridge of the nose, and the nostrils altogether.

The anesthesia used by Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian during a rhinoplasty is performed by a board certified anesthesiologist in an accredited operating room.  By maintaining strict standards for anesthesia and anesthetic during the procedure, Dr. Karamanoukian ensures that his patients receive the highest standard of operating room and anesthesia safety.  To schedule a consultation for anesthesia with Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian please call our Los Angeles patient care coordinator at 310-998-5533.  Anesthesia and sedation.
