If I have a sulfa allergy can I use hydroquinone?

Non-Hydroquinone Skin Lightener Melarase AM and Melapads

Patients with sulfa allergies may become sensitized to a sulfa metabolite in hydroquinone that may elicit an allergic reaction.  Hydroquinone is one of the most common skin lightners available in the United States and abroad.  If there is a significant history of sulfa allergies or sulfite allergies among patients who have taken sulfa medicines in the past, a non-hydroquinone based product such as Melarase AM and Melapads can be used to lighten the skin.  Melarase AM contains natural non-sulfa ingredients that also act as enzyme blockers for the production of melanin within the body.  Non-hydroquinone based skin lightners can be beneficial for patients who have skin discoloration, melasma, sunspots, age spots, and overall skin pigmentation issues of face and body.

Acne scars and melasma skin disorders can also be improved with this non-hydroquinone based regimen.  To purchase Melarase AM and Melapads, please visit www.kareskin.com.
